Woman claiming love failure, creates high-voltage drama

Bengaluru:  A high-drama prevailed in the city's Hegganahalli on Monday, where a woman climbed on to the terrace of a residential building and threatened to commit suicide.

She claimed that she was cheated by her boyfriend, sources said. The woman, holding a knife in her hand, alleged that she was in a relationship for the last five years with a person named Sundaresh, who later revealed to be a local BJP worker.

She said he had promised to marry her but later retracted and began avoiding her. The woman threatened to either jump from the building or slit her throat with the knife if the police refused to help her in the matter.

The Rajagopalnagar Police, who arrived at the scene, finally managed to convince the woman to get off the terrace of Sundaresh’s house and took her to the police station.
