Bengaluru: A Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) member has been accused of putting up posters labelling former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy as 'electricity thief' at several areas including Sheshadripuram and JP Nagar here.
JD (S) Bengaluru Unit President HM Ramesh Gowda on Wednesday visited the office of the City Police Commissioner B Dayananda to file a complaint against KPCC member S Manohar accusing him of pasting derogatory posters regarding HD Kumaraswamy.
Displaying a photo of the KPCC member to the media, Gowda said, "His name is S Manohar and he is the one who had pasted the posters labelling HD Kumaraswamy as electricity thief. I have filed a complaint with the Bengaluru Police Commissioner against this person and hope that the accused face stringent action for his doing," he said.
Last week, Ramesh Gowda had filed an FIR after he found the posters pasted on the compound wall of the JD (S) office in Sheshadripuram.
