Bogey of conversion raises head in Mandya
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: There is no let-up in the targeting of Christian institutions in Karnataka with Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists allegedly disrupting Christmas celebrations at Nirmala English High School in Pandavapura in Mandya district neighbouring Bengaluru on Thursday.
This happened a day after the St Anthony’s statue at a Chikkaballapura church was allegedly vandalised by miscreants, at a time when the state legislature was debating the controversial Anti-conversion bill.
Sources said some right-wing activists were involved in an argument with the convent management over celebration of Christmas. A video of the incident which has gone viral on social media, shows a few men involved in a spat with school representatives.
