BMTC's issues showcause notice to driver over bus leakage

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has issued a show cause notice to a Yelahanka depot bus driver following complaints of leakage during recent rains, leading to drenched seats.

Union members are questioning the rationale behind holding drivers responsible for bus leakage. The notice, directed to the driver on duty, highlights the poor condition of the bus during the rainy season and urges action to address the issue.

The public complaint accuses the driver of neglecting their duty, causing inconvenience to passengers, and tarnishing the institution's reputation.

The driver has been given seven days to submit a written statement justifying their actions, or disciplinary action will be taken.
