Accused arrested for harassing a woman

Bengaluru: Jayanagar police nabbed a miscreant who had allegedly harassed a woman software professional while she was riding back to her residence in the city.

The accused was identified as Harish, a resident of Chamarajpet. On November 14, News Trail had reported about a case filed at Jayanagar police station by the victim alleging harassment by an unidentified person near South-End Circle.

The incident had taken place around 10:30 pm on November 6. In her complaint, the victim had stated that while she was riding her scooter, two unidentified men approached on a bike and began misbehaving with her by pulling her dupatta and passing lewd comments.

As the victim attempted to raise an alarm, the miscreants fled the scene. Launching a probe, the police scanned the CCTV footage around the spot and identified the accused.
