2 Bescom officials held while accepting bribe

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Lokayukta sleuths on Thursday arrested the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (Bescom) chief manager and his driver after they were caught redhanded while accepting a bribe.

Bescom Chief General Manager Nagaraj ML was caught when he was accepting a bribe through his driver Murali Krishna, the police said.

As per a complaint, Nagaraj allegedly demanded Rs 7.5 lakh from a contractor, Pratap, to provide an industrial electric supply connection from an existing commercial supply line.
