Woman arrested for entering the KIA using fake air ticke

Bengaluru: A woman was arrested after she was caught by officials while attempting to enter the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) by presenting a fake air ticket in order to see off a friend, police said on Monday.

The woman was identified as Harpit Kaur Saini. The police said that she had entered the airport with her friend Ayush Sharma using a fake air ticket.

The woman proceeded to the Pre-Embarkation Security Check (PESC) to bid farewell to the person she was accompanying. Later, she returned, claiming that her laptop was lost.

Security personnel grew suspicious and checked her air ticket and found that it was a fake.

A complaint was filed with the Bengaluru International Airport Police and an FIR was registered in the matter. Currently the police are investigating the case.
