
City cops seek assistance from Interpol to solve hoax threat case
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The city police have filed 27 cases in connection with the hoax bomb threat email that was recently sent to 68 schools here, City Police Commissioner B Dayananda said on Tuesday adding that the police is now seeking international assistance to identify and nab the culprits.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner further stated that a meeting of all investigating officers has been held to review the progress of the probe. Dayananda also informed that the police have contacted the 'beeble.com' company, through which the threatening emails originated, and have gathered relevant information.
Additionally, the police have sought assistance from the Interpol wing of the CBI to gather international intelligence on similar cases reported in countries like America, Germany, and Malaysia two months ago.
"The police are working diligently to identify the culprits and bring them to justice," Dayananda added.
