Three private clinics sealed in HD Kote taluk

Mysuru,NT Bureau: Health officials have shut down three private clinics in HD Kote in Mysuru district on Friday.

A team lead led taluk health officer Dr T Ravikumar carried out the surprise operations at various places across H D Kote and Saragur taluks on the directions of the deputy commissioner following the circular issued by the state health department to launch a drive to check all scanning centres, nursing homes, hospitals and clinics in the wake of the female foeticide racket in Mandya and Mysuru district.

They sealed the private clinic at G Saragur village in Hampura hobli, Guru clinic and Arun clinic at Alanahalli village for flouting the directions of the health department by not registering their clinics under Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) Act and for not ensuring proper facilities.

They also inspected the hospitals and diagnostic lab to check if they were being run by fake doctors.
