Bengaluru: J D(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy on Sunday claimed that the Congress governement in Karnataka would fall after the Lok Sabha elections because a minister had approached the BJP pledging support of 50 MLAs.

“Someone said they’d get 50 to 60 people to come with them. This is the business they were trying to do to save themselves and to take care of their illegalities ,” he added.

“Information reached me that someone said that he would bring people with him. He said I’ll come with you, so give me relief for five to six months. I know that they are trying these things. Let us see what happens in the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.

Kumaraswamy appeared to be taking a dig at Deputy CM DK Shivakumar who is being investigated by central agencies.
