Indira Canteens to serve 'Ragi Mudde' next year: BBMP
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: After announcing rejuvenation of 50 Indira Canteens in November, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) have now jiggled the menu, by adding the much devoured Ragi Mudde, with effect from January.
Reportedly, the state government has taken a step to diversify the menu in Indira Canteens, which was introduced first in 2017 in Chief Minister Siddaramiah’s first term.
Currently, the city has 169 functioning canteens to show for. Its Menu, which consists of rice bath, Idlies, “Uppitu” and “Anna Sambar '' seeks for more locally made food items.
Reportedly an official from the civic body suggested that the Ragi Mudde would be added by January 26th. Prices of meals remain the same. Rs. 5 for breakfast and Rs.10 for lunch.
