Man flees after killing married woman for rejecting his advances
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A person is on the run after murdering a married woman who was residing at Jagajeevanram Nagar Police Station limits in the city.
The deceased was identified as Parveen Taj, 33, while the absconding accused was identified by the police as Mohammed Junaid.
The incident unfolded at around 4 pm on Sunday following which the jurisdictional police inspected the spot. It was revealed that the accused had married a relative of Parveen Taj a few years ago.
However his wife separated from him and went back to her parents. In order to take care of her expenses, she joined Parveen in her online clothing store business.
Junaid later started meeting Parveen, who is already married, and attempted to woo her. However she rejected his advances and related the matter to his family.
Enraged at this, Junaid went to Parveen's house around 7:30 pm on Sunday and created a ruckus accusing her of defaming him. As the argument took a violent turn, Junaid allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed her multiple times before fleeing the spot.
The neighbours rushed to the spot and took the woman to the hospital.
However due to excess loss of blood, she died before reaching the hospital.
An FIR has been registered at JJ Nagar police station under Section 302 of the IPC and efforts are on to nab the absconding accused.
