Now, forged employment order in the name of CM's personal secretary surfaces

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The city police have registered a case and begun a probe into an alleged fake letter in the name of a personal secretary of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeking the appointment of a person in the Public Works Department (PWD).

Karnataka Administrative Services officer Dr Venkateshaiah filed a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha Police Station on December 2, alleging that the letter, dated September 18, ordered the appointment of one Ankith Chandrashekhar in the PWD temporarily.

He alleged that a letterhead of the chief minister’s personal secretary had been forged and a person named Rajendra had signed the letter. The complaint stated that no individual named Rajendra is in the chief minister’s office.

"The name of the personal secretary to the chief minister and the chief minister’s office has been misused to carry out fraud," the complaint added. The Bengaluru police are on the lookout for Ankith Chandrashekhar, a resident of Kamakshipalya in west Bengaluru, in connection with the case.

"No arrests have been made as yet; the matter is under investigation," a jurisdictional police official said.
