BBMP shuts down retail outlets selling plastic bags
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a move to crackdown on handing over of plastic bags, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) closed six outlets issuing plastic bags in the Rajarajeshwari Zone on Thursday.
These outlets, which included a Vegetable mart, a provision store and a garment store were sealed under a notice from the Plastic Ban Notification Rules and the directives from the National Green Tribunal.
