Hassan: After the sad demise of Dasara Elephant Arjuna, the wild elephants in the forests of Hassan have ransacked the burial site of Arjuna in the Dabbalikatte forest range in Yeslur Hobli, late on Thursday.

The Dasara Tusker died on December 4 after an encounter with wild elephants.

Arjuna, who was sent to counter these menacing wild elephants, was buried at the spot, and a 11th day Puja was to be performed by the villagers.

However, due to the ransacking of the temporarily installed barbed wires, the villagers, with the forest officials, decided to offer prayers to Arjuna’s portrait.
