Bengaluru woman alleges sexual harassment by Rapido driver

Bengaluru: A recent revelation involves a woman accusing a Rapido driver in Bengaluru of sexual harassment.

She recounted a harrowing incident that occurred during her journey on a Rapido bike from the Tin Factory area to Koramangala around 8:30 pm on a Saturday.

The Reddit user u/CaregiverDifferent70 disclosed that the driver requested the use of her phone for navigation due to his low battery.

Although the victim's post has been deleted, the comments discussing the incident remain accessible.

The woman reported a disturbing encounter during the Rapido ride, describing how the driver overstepped boundaries by reaching for a key beneath the back seat, pressing against her inner thighs, and attempting to rub his feet against hers.

She expressed shock, fear, and discomfort throughout the 20-minute ordeal. Despite complaining to Rapido, she criticised their response, which involved cross-verifying with the driver.

The incident unfolded in Ejipura, and upon reaching her destination, the woman, relieved but disturbed, emphasised that she had never encountered such behaviour in her previous rides.
