KSRTC gears up for festive rush: 1000 additional buses for Christmas travellers

Bengaluru: In anticipation of the festive season, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the operation of 1000 additional buses to accommodate the surge in travellers during the Christmas festival.
The special bus services will be in effect from December 22 to December 24, with extra buses connecting various destinations to Bengaluru.
On Christmas Day, special buses will operate from intra and interstate locations to Bengaluru, facilitating the movement of passengers.
The special services include exclusive routes from Bengaluru Kempegowda Bus Station to Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Mangaluru, and many more.
Similarly, special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will serve routes to Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, and Virajpet. BMTC Bus Station, Shanthinagar (TTMC), will host premier special buses connecting to Tamil Nadu and Kerala cities.
To streamline the booking process, KSRTC offers the facility to book computerised reservation tickets in advance, with details available on their official website.
Passengers are encouraged to reserve tickets early and note the place of boarding mentioned on their reservation ticket. 5% and 10% discounts are provided for group bookings and simultaneous onward and return journey ticket bookings, respectively.
The KSRTC has set up booking counters in Karnataka and neighbouring states, ensuring accessibility and convenience for passengers during the festive travel period.
