
Depressed over wife's affair, man jumps in front of a train

Bengaluru: A 45-year-old garment factory worker committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near Soladevanahalli.
Yeshwanthpur Railway Police who inspected the spot and registered a case in this regard, said that the incident took place around 10:30 am on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Ramesh, a resident of Tumakuru district.
An official from the Railway Police said that as soon as they were alerted about a body found on the tracks, a team was sent to the spot.
During the inspection, the police found a mobile phone which started ringing. One of the relatives of the deceased spoke to the police and informed them about a WhatsApp status that the deceased had shared before his death.
Further probe revealed that the deceased and his wife, Shilpa, were working at a garment factory.
However Ramesh recently got to know that his wife was involved in an illicit relationship with two of his close friends who often used to visit his residence.
In a state of depression, Ramesh shared a WhatsApp status with his relatives and friends informing them about his wife's affair before taking the extreme step.
Ramesh and Shilpa had met each other while working in the same factory and fell in love before getting married in 2004.
The couple have a daughter who is currently pursuing graduation, sources told News Trail.
Meanwhile the RPF have registered a case of abetment to suicide under Section 306 of IPC and have detained Shilpa and two other accused in the case.
