
Cancer hospitals in all districts: CM
Mysuru, NT Bureau: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that his government plans to open cancer hospitals in all districts and is committed to ensure treatment to all poor and the working class across the state.
He was speaking after performing the ground breaking ceremony for construction of Kidwai Memorial Cancer Hospital's Peripheral Centre and construction of a new hostel for medical girls students at PKTB Sanatorium premises on KRS Road in the city.
He said that he had sanctioned the construction of a district hospital, trauma centre, Kidwai memorial cancer unit, super speciality hospital and funds for improvement of medical infrastructure in his home district Mysuru during his previous tenure as CM between 2013-18.
The CM promised to look into the demand of Mysureans for establishment of a nephrology hospital and facilities for providing bone marrow transplant and other speciality treatment to help the poor in society.
District minister H C Mahadevappa, MLA K Harish Gowda and others were present.
