Customs seize 816 gram of gold from a Bangkok passenger

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in the city have arrested a passenger who was carrying 816 gm of gold, in the form of paste, worth lakhs of rupees.

The incident was revealed by the Bengaluru Customs officer on Saturday.

The officers said that the passenger, who arrived from Bangkok, was detained after his hand luggage was checked and the gold was found by the air intelligence unit (AIU) officers. Further investigation is on.
