Over 150 people booked for gambling

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Over 150 people were booked and then released after they were caught playing cards allegedly by betting money at a club in Basaveshwara Nagar Police Station limits.

Following credible information, the jurisdictional police raided Adiga Creation Club in Basaveshwara Nagar 4th cross and detained the people involved in gambling including the club owner.

During the raid, the police recovered Rs 4 lakh from their possession.

The police said that the gambling had been continuing despite the personnel having previously instructed the club owner not to allow illegal gambling inside the club.
