B'luru marathoner runs 104 km barefoot in Dubai
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The ultramarathoner hailing from Bengaluru, Aakash Nambiar, embarked on a remarkable 104 km run in Dubai, commencing at Love Lake and concluding at the world's tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa.
Nambiar, aged 34, undertook this barefoot feat in 17 hours and 20 minutes, utilising the journey to raise awareness about the critical issue of climate change.
Taking to Instagram, Nambiar chronicled his journey, stating, “A 100 km inside Dubai, the city of skyscrapers! The run started after sunrise from Love Lake and finished at the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, covering Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, Kite Beach, Jumeirah Beach, La Mer Beach, Etihad Museum, and Museum of Future with a total of 104 km.”
He elucidated the purpose behind his run, the urgency of addressing climate change.
