Leakage in gas geyser: 23-year-old girl dies

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A 23-year-old girl died due to suffocation caused by the leakage of carbon monoxide gas from the geyser at her house in Kamakshipalya Police Station limits on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rajeshwari, an employee at a private firm and a resident of Meenakshinagar in Bengaluru.

The incident took place when she went to take a bath in the morning. Noticing her absence for a long time, the family knocked down the door and found her unconscious inside the bathroom.

She was immediately rushed to a hospital, where the doctors declared her 'brought dead.'

According to sources, Rajeshwari had obtained leave from her office as her brother was about to get married soon.

This is the second such death reported in the last three days in Bengaluru.

On Saturday, a six month pregnant woman died while her four-year old son was hospitalised after inhaling the toxic gas while taking a bath.
