Police arrest two in connection with stabbing incident

Bengaluru: Two men were arrested by the Chandra Layout Police for allegedly stabbing a person with sharp weapons near Nayandahalli recently in the city.

The accused persons were identified as Dhanush and Shahabuddin. It was learnt that the victim, Karthik, had allegedly stalked Dhanush's girlfriend.

The police said that Dhanush and Karthik reportedly knew each other for a long time and were from the same area in Bengaluru.

Dhanush was in love with a girl, whom Karthik had started stalking after obtaining her number.

Dhanush’s girlfriend reportedly told him about Karthik stalking and making phone calls to speak with her.

On December 19, Dhanush took his friend Shahabuddin with him and went to warn Karthik to leave his girlfriend alone. The duo went to Karthik’s house around 6:30 pm and asked him to come with them.

They allegedly stabbed Karthik with a knife and attacked his head with a machete near his house and fled the spot.

Karthik, who was bleeding because of the attack, got onto his bike and reached a hospital for treatment. He registered an assault complaint at the Chandra Layout Police station.
