Fire at rubber manufacturing unit

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A fire broke out at a rubber manufacturing unit in the city during the early hours of Tuesday. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

The incident took place at a factory around 1:30 am in Yelachenahalli industrial estate of Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station limits.

A few locals noticed the fire and alerted the control room helpline 112 following which four fire tenders reached the spot. As the factory was closed, there were no employees inside.

Based on preliminary inspection, the personnel suspected a short circuit in the electrical system of the factory to be the cause of fire.

The officials are yet to estimate the exact amount of valuables destroyed in the fire. A case has been registered at KS Layout Police Station.
