4 killed, 2 injured in road accident in Hunsur

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Four labourers were killed when the jeep they were travelling in collided with a state-run electric bus near the office of the range forest officer in Hunsur town in the wee hours of Tuesday.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as residents of Chillaramaradathittu village of HD Kote taluk.

They are Somesha (30), Lokesha(35), Raju(35) and jeep driver Rajesh (28), who is a resident of Dammanakatte of the same taluk.

The incident took place when the KSRTC bus which was heading towards Bengaluru from Virajpet, collided with the jeep heading towards Periyapatna from Hunsur.

Among the four deceased, three died on the spot and the fourth died while shifting him to hospital for treatment.
