Namma Yatri to take in 1,000 women drivers in 6 months

Mysuru: Joint director of tourism M K Savitha said on Saturday that the department has made all preparations for the success of a three day Brand Mysuru fest which will be held from January 26 at Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri campus in the city.
Presiding over the preliminary meeting with all stakeholders to discuss the preparations for the festival held at Mayur Hoysala, she appealed to all stakeholders to provide wide publicity to Mysurus global reputation to promote its brand value, logo and tagline, Myusurus picturesque attractions, and famous products, its cultural beauty and heritage, tourism potential and pride of Mysuru to all visitors and tourists arriving at Railway Stations, Bus Stand, Airport,Hotels.
Also exhibit its newly unveiled logo with the tagline ‘Our Heritage, Your Destination’ and mascot ' ‘Gajju” in all major streets and junctions, all such places.
She said that various cultural events are also planned for Brand Mysuru Fest, including ‘Nagari’, ‘Dollu’ and ‘Bharatanatyam’ performances by top art troupes portraying Mysuru’s rich heritage.
The event will also feature ‘Chitrasanthe’ for both children and adults, a flea market and a food fair selling globally renowned local products of Mysuru under one roof, which will be inaugurated on January 26.
Various food stalls, other stalls will be put up for all three days. Other attractions include a fashion show, kite festival and rock band performances.
District minister Dr H C Mahadevappa will inaugurate the cultural events on January 27 at 5 pm at the premises.
Mysuru Hotel Owners Association president M Narayanagowda, Mysuru Associations President M Prashantha, GSS Yoga Federation Srihari and others were present.
