Leopard spotted in Anekal taluk

Bengaluru: A leopard was spotted in Heelalige village near the local government school in Anekal taluk of Bengaluru Urban district.
Locals have been frightened ever since a video of the leopard milling around a deserted street went viral and was being shared widely.
The video is said to be from late Saturday night. The same fear of a leopard attack can be found in areas like Kudlu, Gattahalli, Huskur and Gopasandra.
Forest Department officials have been unsuccessful in nabbing the leopard so far. Wildlife biologists have warned that spotting wild animals doesn’t constitute humananimal conflict.
They insisted that since the city has been growing in an urban sprawl, more people are encroaching on the habitat of wild animals.
