Body of missing man from B'luru found near Ramanagara

Ramanagara, NT Bureau: In a shocking incident, a body of a man from the city was found in a decomposed state at the foothills of Kootagal Betta in Ramanagara taluk on Tuesday.

The police identified the deceased as Gurusiddappa, a resident of the Jnana Bharathi area of Bengaluru. According to police, a missing complaint of Gurusiddappa was registered at Bengaluru’s Janana Bharathi police station a few days ago.

Later, it was learnt that he had been murdered by unidentified assailants in Bengaluru but the police could not find his body. Later the body was found dumped near Kootagal hill here.

Ramanagara Rural and Jnana Bharathi police searched the area where the body was reportedly disposed of and found the decomposed remains.

The body was found to be eaten by wild animals, possibly a leopard.

The police said that the mortal remains have been sent to a private hospital in Bengaluru for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at Ramanagara Rural Police Station.
