Traffic police comes up with plan to ease Mall of Asia traffic
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: As the recently inaugurated Mall of Asia faces challenges, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have devised a plan to alleviate traffic congestion on the Airport Road's service lane.
The mall, situated in Byatarayanapura, experienced significant traffic gridlock during festive days, leading to suspension by the Police and the Karnataka High Court.
In response to this, the mall authorities have agreed to a short-term plan proposed by the BTP.
Traffic police will conduct vehicle checks within the mall premises to prevent queues on the road outside. On weekends, the entry and exit points will be strategically placed at different locations.
If the front gate serves as the designated entry point, vehicles will be directed to exit through the back gate, and vice versa.
Additionally, separate parking arrangements will be made for mall staff, following the suggestions of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
