Traffic relief: New service road eases congestion on ORR

Bengaluru: In a bid to alleviate traffic congestion along the Outer Ring Road, the South Division of Bengaluru Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, has inaugurated a new service road from Bellandur Junction to the Information Technology (IT) park 'Ecospace.'

Identifying notorious bottlenecks caused by metro construction, the traffic police discovered an unused road between the pillars, providing a direct connection from Sarjapur Road to Ecospace, bypassing the Iblur Junction.

This newly opened stretch also facilitates a direct route for vehicles traveling from HSR Layout to Ecospace, allowing them to utilize the road and make a U-turn.

The traffic police assert that this route was conceived through Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based tools, anticipating significant decongestion.
