CCB busts illegal refilling and black marketing of LPG cylinders

Bengaluru: The Economic Offences Wing of the City Crime Branch (CCB) police raided a shed in CK Achukattu and a house in Bellandur, which were allegedly used as an illegal gas refilling unit in the city.

The action was taken following a tip-off, and during the raids the officials seized a total of 290 LPG gas cylinders and other equipment worth Rs 33 lakh from the units.

According to the police, 140 regular LPG cylinders and 30 small commercial cylinders along with five refilling rods, 200 counterfeit company seals, three regulators and three goods canter trucks were seized from a unit in CK Achukattu Police Station limits.

Similarly, the police seized 120 LPG cylinders, five refilling rods and 100 counterfeit company seals from a house in Bellandur.

Two separate cases have been registered and investigation is underway.
