Swiggy, Zomato delivery boys die in separate road accidents

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: On Saturday, tragic accidents claimed the lives of two delivery boys working for Swiggy and Zomato in separate incidents within the Yashwantpur and HAL traffic police station areas.

A Swiggy delivery boy, 29-year-old J.P. L.M. Anilkumar, residing in Mattikere HMR Barangay, faced a fatal accident on Tank Bund Road.

Anilkumar lost control of his bike at high speed, colliding with a divider. The impact inflicted severe head and chest injuries, resulting in his immediate demise at the accident site, as stated by the traffic police.

In another incident, Zomato delivery boy Rajesh Kumar (32) succumbed to injuries in an accident near HAL Hospital on Suranjana Das Road early on Saturday.

Rajesh was en route from HAL main gate towards JB Nagar cross on his bike when a speeding cab collided with him. The collision caused Rajesh to fall on the road, leading to significant head injuries.

Despite attempts to rush him to Bowring Hospital, he passed away during transit, according to the police.
