Man held for robbing elderly woman in city

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A man who had robbed an elderly woman after barging into her house in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, was arrested by the city police.

The accused was identified as Kumar. As per the police, he was helped by one of his friends to get into the house of Gowramma, the victim.

The accused had observed the victim and found that she stayed alone at her house before targeting her.

Kumar and his friend allegedly barged into Gowramma's house around 4:30 pm when she returned home after dropping her grand-children to the tuition class.

The accused allegedly tied up the woman with ropes and covered her face using a cap before robbing her house.

As per the complaint, the accused allegedly stole 120 grams of gold which included a necklace weighing 15 grams, a chain weighing 12 grams, rings, earrings, 100 grams of Silver, and Rs 50,000 cash from the house.
