MCC’s ‘Manan’ fest aims to foster sense of unity

Bengaluru: As part of a humanities fest titled ‘Manan,’ Mount Carmel College on January 19th, welcomed esteemed alumni and playback singer Vasundara Das as chief guest.

Das, who has costarred with Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan, had reminisced about her college days, recalling her participation in Automata and NCC while sharing personal development insights.

Another well-known name in the dais was trans-rights activists Akai Padmashali.

She emphasized the significance of an individual's character over factors such as colour, appearance, caste, religion, or wealth.

The event aims to inspire and foster a sense of unity, encouraging participants to raise their voices against injustice and celebrate the diversity.
