Avani Institute of Design's three-day exhibition brings in a design carnival for masses

Bengaluru: The Avani Institute of Design recently concluded its threeday Avani exhibition at Chitrakala Parishath, aiming to bring design to the masses.

Organised by 200 Bachelor of Architecture students and 40 teachers, the event transformed into a vibrant showcase of creativity, featuring architectural designs, 3D models, illustrations, installations, short films, posters, calligraphy, and origami.

Themed 'We Belong Where,' the exhibition displayed works created over three years in various design studios as part of the curriculum.

Notable architects from London provided guidance to the students, adding a global perspective.

Architect Sanjay Mohe inaugurated the exhibition, with Tony Joseph, Principal and Chairman of Avani Institute of Design, presiding.

Renowned architect Prof. Roger Connah delivered a keynote address on 'architecture after the other architecture.'

The event offered a diverse program, including expert talks, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and on-the-spot events, engaging both academic enthusiasts and emerging architects.

Speakers, including Bose Krishnamachari and architect Ravindra Kumar, participated in discussions on design education's future, relevance, and opportunities.

The exhibition's success in multiple cities, including Calicut, Trivandrum, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru, has prompted plans for expansion to other parts of the country.
