Bengaluru: Stepping beyond the conventional single film announcement, R Chandru, the creative force behind last year's Kabzaa, has set the industry abuzz by revealing plans for not just one but five pan-India films simultaneously.

Unveiling his new production house, "RC Studios," the filmmaker orchestrated an impressive launch event with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, alongside Kannada luminaries Upendra and Darling Krishna in attendance.

Collaborating on this ambitious venture are Bollywood's Anand Pandit and Invinio's Alankar Pandian, adding their expertise to Chandru's new corporate production venture.

Among these five cinematic ventures, Chandru is set to helm Kabzaa 2 and P.O.K, with the latter potentially featuring Kichcha Sudeep in a leading role.

The roster also includes films titled DOG, Sriramabana Charita, and Father, the direction of the latter being entrusted to Rajamohan. Chandru disclosed that the collective investment in these projects will amount to Rs. 400 crores.

Having delved into the realm of pan-India cinema with Kabzaa, Chandru is resolute in his pursuit, having left an indelible mark in Sandalwood with earlier successes like Taj Mahal, Charminar, Mylari, Kanaka, and I Love You.

Reflecting on his journey, he expressed, "The success of Kabzaa inspired me to establish a corporate production house. It's not a solo endeavor; instead, it's a collaborative effort with professionals overseeing every facet of the production company. I am primarily a director and intend to devote a significant portion of my time to it, apart from script selection for the studio."

Addressing criticism surrounding Kabzaa's reception, Chandru responded pointedly, saying, "I've been far from idle for the past 10 months. I've finalized these five scripts. Thanks to the film 'Kabzaa,' I've contributed Rs. 20 crores in taxes to the government. Does anyone acknowledge such contributions? I will. Success or failure in the film industry is a separate matter. One should never underestimate anyone."

He stressed the need to recognize the efforts of others, irrespective of success or failure in the film industry.

Commending Chandru's positive outlook, Upendra, who featured in Kabzaa, extended his best wishes for the director's prolific future under the banner of his new production company.
