BTP cracks down on errant auto-rickshaw drivers

Bengaluru: The city traffic police (BTP) has been conducting a series of special drives on vehicles violating traffic rules here.
On Wednesday, the Bengaluru Traffic Police carried out a drive against auto-rickshaw drivers for refusing to use meters.
According to a report shared by the BTP, the personnel following the drive in different parts of the city registered 1226 cases against errant auto-rickshaw drivers and Rs 6,35,200 fine was imposed for violating rules.
As per the report, BTP collected Rs 1,78,500 against fines imposed on 357 cases of violation of no entry and one-way rules.
Similarly a fine of Rs 1,39,200 was imposed in 234 cases of other violations.
