Tragic suicide of election office official in Kanakapura: FIR filed against superior for harassment

Bengaluru: A tragic incident unfolded at the Kanakapura taluk office as an official from the election branch, identified as Suresh, took his own life, citing harassment by his superior.

The police have initiated legal proceedings by filing an FIR against the accused Shirastedar, Poornima.

The deceased official left behind a death note, in which he detailed the mental harassment he allegedly faced from his senior.

Additionally, Suresh's wife filed a formal complaint, asserting that her husband had been subjected to undue pressure and harassment. She also mentioned a notice threatening his termination.

Prompted by the complaint and the contents of the death note, the Kanakapura Town police have registered a case and commenced an investigation against the accused Shirastedar, Poornima.
