Clash over pet ownership leads to an assault

Bengaluru: In a bizarre incident, a dispute over dog ownership between tenants and the property owner escalated into physical assault in Jeevan Bhima Nagar.

The incident unfolded when the property owner confronted a woman, asserting that she could not keep a dog in the premises.

The woman, adamant about keeping the pet, resisted vacating the house. Amidst the ongoing disagreement, the property owner allegedly instructed the woman to leave the residence due to the noise caused by the dog.

Matters took a violent turn on January 2, when four or five individuals associated with the property owner allegedly broke into the woman’s house and assaulted her.

Following the assault, the woman sought to file a complaint at the Jeevan Bhima Nagar police station. she claimed that police refused to register her complaint.
