Pink Line Metro to be ready by 2025, says DKS

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister DK Shivakumar said he was confident that Reach Six of Phase Two of Bengaluru’s Metro from Kalena Agrahara on Bannerghatta Road to Nagavara would be ready by 2025.

He made the comments to mediapersons on Thursday after witnessing the tunnel drilling machine breaking ground at the KG Halli Metro station.

“About 75 per cent of work is complete on the 12 stations on the route,” he said. Asked about the Airport Metro line, he said: “We have instructed them to build two levels wherever pillars are not cast yet. One level will be used for the road and the other for the Metro.”
