Bengaluru: A mountain guide from Uttarakhand who was travelling from Salem to Bengaluru recently, shared a very distressing experience with the Bengaluru Police who made him run around pillar to post just to file a theft complaint.

Mukesh Pawar, a certified mountain guide from Sidri village in Uttarakhand, alleged that he lost his luggage bags containing his documents, devices and cash during his Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus journey to Bengaluru on February 12.

The bus driver and conductor advised him to approach the Bengaluru police for help.

However due to jurisdictional issues, Pawar was allegedly made to run between Majestic and Electronic City Police Stations.

Filing an FIR with the police proved to be a huge challenge for the Hindi-speaking man. This led to Pawar missing his scheduled flight to Delhi, adding more to the turmoil of the situation.

The plight of Mukesh Pawar gained attention only after Anand Sankar, a friend of Pawar's uncle, shared the story on X, appealing for help in tracing Pawar's stolen luggage bags which contained important certificates and documents.

Sankar's post came to the notice of former IPS officer and Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Bhaskar Rao, who offered guidance on how to proceed with the complain In subsequent updates, Sankar disclosed that Pawar had received a copy of the FIR filed at Electronic City and is awaiting further developments.
