Woman forced into physical relationship to get her minor son out on bail

Belagavi: Awoman approached the Superintendent of Police (SP) accusing a person of forcing her into a physical relationship by promising to help bail out her minor son.

The woman alleged that her son was named among the 10 accused in the murder of Shanur Pujari in Gokak taluk in December last year.

The accused, identified as Mallikarjun Burli, offered to bail out her son but forced her into a sexual relationship, against her wishes.

Later, he even kidnapped the woman’s daughter and mother and kept them locked up, she said.

She further stated that when she wanted to get out of the relationship, the accused started leaking their intimate photos and videos online.

Fed up of the harassment, the woman approached Bharatiya Samskriti Foundation and later filed a complaint with the police here.

Pramoda, president of Bharatiya Samskriti Foundation, alleged that the accused had demanded sexual favours from the victim and also extorted Rs 50,000 from her by blackmailing her with photos and videos. The police are further investigating the matter.
