
CCTV reveals 'suspect'; CM upbeat of nabbing culprits soon

Bengaluru: The police on Saturday intensified its probe into the March 1 bomb blast at a city eatery that left 10 injured, as the Karnataka government expressed confidence that those behind the incident will be nabbed at the earliest based on CCTV images but said it was not possible to specify at the moment if any outfit was involved in the incident.
The suspect, wearing a mask and cap, quickly left the hotel after leaving the bag with the bomb.
The person is suspected to be around 30-35 years old and is believed to have set the timer for the bomb. The footage shows him leaving the hotel, wearing a mask and a white cap to hide their identity.
They were also spotted checking their wristwatch while talking on the phone and walking briskly.
According to the police, the suspect got off a state-run bus and entered Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookefield around 11:30 am.
The suspect went to the cash counter, bought a token for Rava Idly, had his meal, washed his hands, and left the bag with the bomb near the kitchen sink.
The suspect left the hotel around 11:50 am, and the explosion happened an hour later, at around 12:55 pm on Friday.

Asking officials to take action against anti-social elements without any sympathy, the CM instructed them to speed up the investigation in the case and to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
Earlier, he expressed confidence about nabbing the culprit involved in the blast at the cafe, as his movement had been captured by the cameras.
