Bengaluru: With opposition growing to the strict curbs and night curfew imposed by the state government ahead of New Year celebrations, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai hinted on Wednesday that he would take a relook at the curbs after his return to Bengaluru on Thursday.
Only 50 per cent occupancy has been allowed at hotels, pubs and restaurants during the curfew phase from December 28 to January 7 and even they have to shut shop at 10 pm while the curfew will stretch from 10 pm to 5 am.
The CM told the media in Hubballi that he had received reports on the widespread opposition to the night curfew which was meant to stop the spread of Covid. “I will revisit the issue at a meeting called in Bengaluru tomorrow (Thursday) morning and make an appropriate decision”.
