Person falls on a moving car from Windsor Manor bridge

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old man died after he jumped onto a moving car from Windsor Manor Railway overbridge (RoB) on Tuesday afternoon in the city.
The identity of the person could not be ascertained immediately as he was critically injured and had to be rushed to a hospital here.
Unfortunately, the person succumbed to the injuries without responding to the treatment, the sources said.
Later in the day, the High Grounds Police identified him as Gowresh, a native of Vellore in Tamil Nadu. So far the incident is suspected to be an attempted suicide by the person.
The police speculated that the person might have fallen from a moving train on the RoB onto the car passing below. According to sources, Gowresh fell on a KIA Sonet car which was driven by a woman.
The unsuspecting woman was alarmed and stopped the car immediately. It is said that she suffered minor injuries after the windshield of her car smashed into pieces due to the impact when the person fell on it.
Superintendent of Police, Railways, Soumya Latha SK said that the exact cause of his death has not been ascertained so far.
"Effort is on to determine whether the person accidentally fell from the train or had committed suicide. His family has been alerted and further details will be revealed after meeting the family members," she said.
