Bengaluru: A day after the Suryanagar Police discovered a highly decomposed naked body of a woman in a multistorey building in Chandapura, the police found that she used to stay with a Odisha-based man in his 40s, who is currently missing along with the other occupants of the house.
It was learnt that the man, identified as Sapan Kumar, had rented the house on the fourth-floor of the building and after a few days, the woman started living with him.
The police on Tuesday said that the house was unattended to, with cigarette butts, liquor bottles, and unused food packets found scattered around.
Preliminary porbe hinted that the woman was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
It is suspected that the woman might have died four-five days ago and her body was found only after the residents noticed foul smell from the house.
