BBMP awareness rally on solid waste management

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In an aim to raise awareness on managing waste, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had conducted a rally on Sunday at its South Zone jurisdiction.

Led by Zonal Commissioner Vinod Priya, the rally, under Information, Education and Communication (IEC) conducted street plays, distributed cloth bags.

Awareness on segregation of waste, including segregation at source, prohibition of single-use plastics in public places and streets was undertaken.

Officials, along with Residents Welfare Associations (RWA), marshals from the Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF), health workers and students were present.
