“Despite growing concern, environmentalism the last resort”: Disha Ravi

Bengaluru: “We always had to sell the issue of environmentalism and climate change to foster awareness amongst others. It was disturbing to do that,” said climate activist Disha Ravi, underscoring the lack of importance shown to climate change.

She had said this in a panel discussion titled ‘Building strong community foundations – engaging youth and volunteers,’ on Saturday.

Concerning issues like Climate change is multi-faceted, it includes economic, gender and class disparities, she added.

Dhruv Nagaraj Koundinya friends of BMTC, Benisha Maggie, Chennai Climate Action Group and Harsh Snehanshu, founder of Cubbon reads were panellists.
