Youth killed after friend inserts compressor air hose in rectum

Bengaluru: A 24-year-old young man died from internal injuries after his friend allegedly inserted a compressor air hose into his rectum at a car service center in Thanisandra, Bengaluru.

Police stated that the incident occurred on Monday evening. The victim, Yogesh Ramajinappa, worked at an event management company and resided with his father and sister in Ashwathnagar.

His sister's wedding was scheduled for April. It was reported that on Monday, Yogesh visited CNS Car Spa and Service Centre to have his friend's bike serviced, which he needed for his sister's wedding preparations.

While at the service center, during what was apparently a moment of jest, Yogesh's friend Murali allegedly inserted the hose pipe of the compressor into his anus and released air at high pressure.

Yogesh collapsed after sustaining internal injuries, which were later found to have damaged his intestines. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

Following a complaint filed by Yogesh’s sister Jayashree, police arrested Murali on the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
